Will DRAMA kill Wikipedia?
Or maybe just cripple it? Just look at many of the TALK sections for particular pages and you'll see some drama behind the scenes. Will Wikipedia go the way of DMOZ (certain editors holding parts of the directory as their personal fiefdoms) or will it truly live up to its democratic pretensions?

Google will soon ban Wiki :2 cents:

its on the down swing. CNN reports that some colleges are banning the use of it. Then again any college student that uses it is a moron.

No, like most things, black people will.

Nerds thrive on drama as much as porn-nerds thrive on drama.

I have found it helpful as place to start

it was a cool idea.. the problem with anything that is "open edited " before someone reviews it is once it gets popular it loses its value..
gfy is actually a good litmus test.. 1 year ago you could always post wiokipedia as a "source" for information.. nowadayas when you post wikipedia" as fact" , people are alot more doubtfull because they understand more of how it works. |

Im talking about using Wikipedia for targeted direct traffic. Webmaster greed and drama stopped webmasters from getting KILLER links (and pr) from DMOZ. I am beginning to suspect the same is going to happend to Wikipedia. They already put NO FOLLOW on the rel tags for external links. Based on the drama... that's just the beginning....

Wikipedia still has a while to grow even more and approve their standards.
