baddog 04-30-2007 09:59 AM

damn, looks like he landed right where it went down. Is he responsible for bringing it home?

Rochard 04-30-2007 10:01 AM

Holy shit. Looks like he landed in the water right on top of his plane!

Semi-Retired-Dave 04-30-2007 10:08 AM

Yup, looks like he saves himself then killed himself by landing on his own plane.
I"m sure he is fine, but still pretty crazy!

Xenophage 04-30-2007 10:41 AM

Tanya_AWP 04-30-2007 11:20 AM

JP-pornshooter 04-30-2007 11:51 AM

where is it from ? looks like that one jet which was able to "hoover"...think the marines used it a lot, but they had many problems similar to this one..
ejecting from a military jet is very rough, many get serisouly hurt as they are accelerated at a very high rate (g force), it is very common the are unconscious when they land.

tony286 04-30-2007 11:55 AM

man a lucky guy

what the hell was he doing at the beach like that I wonder? kinda dangerous to be around all those people.. amazing he didn't kill someone.

Zebra 04-30-2007 03:31 PM

I used to work on F-15's and was always in the cockpit. We were trained from day 1 to make sure that the safety pins were in the handles for the ejector seat. Supposedly if you eject while on the ground you don't go high enough for the chute to slow your descent and you would most likely be killed. Looks like that guy barely was high enough for his chute to open, and landing in water certainly helped.

I thought the same thing..I think his focus was keeping it on the water and away from the beach. And any lower, and no water..He wouldn't have made it.

Pretty cool job you had. :thumbsup

Pornwolf 04-30-2007 08:16 PM

I didn't know Great Britan had a military.

Oh, wait... I forgot about those tough folks that got captured and "tortured" last month.

Can that be considered a military?

Depends on what type of ejection seats I guess. We watched videos where they ejected dummies from the ground and they didn't land too well. I wasn't too keen on testing it myself.
