I was with them a couple of years ago. When things were good they were great, fast ticket response, helpful etc. Then they had a major crash and my servers were down for 3 or 4 days, support tickets went unanswered, phone was unanswered and they lost every bit of data I had on the servers (even though they said they had backups).

So yeah, be careful with them.

I was a HG customer for a while. It was a piddly little shared account for a small site. I was mostly happy with them until someone else on the machine kept knocking out the server with some sort of MySQL query that was eating up memory and crashing the machine. Took them DAYS to figure out who was doing it. In the meantime, I left and have never looked back.

If you're still with them and haven't moved then your current pain is at least 50% your own stupid fault for staying.

I fucking hate people who bitch about their hosts and don't switch. Hosting is a competitive business. If you're dissatisfied, move. Its that simple. Quit your crying and move to a new host.
