Fucking up Kazaa
I am not going to do this but I think it is a great idea.
I am considering duplicating my dialer say 300 plus times and renaming it jenna_jameson.exe racquel_darian.exe etc..basically every porn star name going...I am then going to dump all the files in my kazaa shared files folder. People that use Kazza are copyright violators anyway so I have no probs with fucking them up morally..however I do understand that the FTC may wish to fuck me up and will probably not accept my excuse that Kazaa users break the law every second I only took back some cash to pay for what I lost. What do you reckon the estimated prison sentance time is for doing this? |
Welcome to yesterday. You don't think that a few others might have thought of doing that ?
|
i dont think it matters
the government will be happy.. |
Anyone dumb enough to download an .exe file from Kazaa probably deserves it.
|
Most people filter out .exe files so its pointless. Now some ass will tell me millions of users don't use the filter so I'll insert a few hundred dialer "movies" to make sure.
But I don't think there is much money in it. |
Can't really hurt to try. Leave it in your shared folder for a few weeks. Then, you'll have enough people with the software shared that you won't have to share it any longer. Means after the initial couple of weeks, it won't cost you a thing.

But, i'm confused... I've got about 500 cassettes I purchased back in the day.. and i'll be fucked before I go buy the matching CD's when I can get most of what I want on MP3.. Does this legally make me a copyright violator? |
Probably, since MP3s are generally backups of a CD and not a tape (meaning it isn't actually a backup of the same thing you own). On the other hand, they keep dumping shitty music on the market and charging $17/CD for it so I say steal everything you can find even if you don't want to listen to it.

since im against the kazaa bootleggers, ill let you in on a genius idea i just thought of (assuming no one else has done it). back in the day on aol the password stealers could be named as screen savers and it would still run as a .EXE file. so what you do is name them .SCR instead of exe and in the kazaa description make it say "jenna jameson screen saver" and some other good keywords that will pick up on a search. you should be golden if you do that. i think dialers suck so i wont try this myself.

Man, dialers are fucking offensive, but the lure of potential $$ is strong. I have resisted their use for years but I know people who are always telling me, "Yeah, I make $2,000/month from my dialers".
$2,000/month isn't a _lot_ of money but it's a hell of a car payment. Anyone out there still think there's money in sneaky shit like this Kazaa scheme? SpaceAce |

Just say I download a dialer from the sponsor's link. If I send that to a friend and they use it, do I get credit for it? |
Better to do it with an image file that ens up just being a banner for a site with an autodialer download. That way you can really fucking piss someone off.
|
ive never used a dialer before, but i'm assuming you get your own .EXE file and get credit on whatever calls come from the exe file.
|
I already tried this.. I just named a dialer "sex_pictures_hacker.exe"
Then made one whole harddrive my shared folder.. so that no one could say I was pushing the dialer on people, they shouldn't download what they don't know anyway.. it got about 60+ downloads / day I never did check the stats or make any money from it cause it was just a test, but it did work, sort of. :2 cents: |
Krome, that's soooo 3 years ago man.
old news. Any dipshit downloading an exe off that crap takes their fuckng chances anyway. They know this, and have safeguards in place to nuke damaging shit instantly. HELLO!!!!! MCFLY!!! BEEN THERE! DONE THAT! only about a thousand times. |
all them napster clones suck ass..
usenet all the way. |
