I'll be lurking in this thread to catch some ideas too... i've no idea what to make this year.
Last year i made a video of me and my brothers when we were all with her, with pictures too, saying thanks for everything, and what a good mother she's been.
I am thinking of sending her some flowers and then a nice gift. I just have to figure out the gift part. She owns several boutiques so she has a lot of nice things already.

Funny - I made a video last year for my mother as well

Let's send her a picture of me & you do'n the nasty?
Seriously, I dunno.
She likes her flowers and shit for the yard.
Maybe I'll take her to home depot and let her pick out some stuff for the yard and I'll plant it.
I actually have no idea. I've been wracking my brains and I just can't think of a good gift to get her, I got her a new computer for christmas and she really doesn't need anything else... she has a nice TV... guh. Maybe I'll get her a gift certificate to linens n' things. I hate giving gift certificates but I'm really out of ideas on what to get her.

my sister and i are taking my mother to this ridiculously expensive brunch. we did it last year because we couldn't think of ANYTHING else and sort of planned it at the last minute. it ended up being really awesome and everything there was really good.. so it was worth the price. we just decided to do that again this year since it worked out so well last time.
My mom likes Royal Doultons, so I picked her up one. Darn things aren't cheap these days.. and just for a figurine too.
"Introducing "Jennifer", a new Royal Doulton figurine for 2006! Hand signed by acclaimed artist Nada Pedley, this lovely 8.25" tall handcrafted bone china figurine is part of the Pretty Ladies Collection. Richly decorated in deep red and ebony colours, Jennifer wears a rose in her hair -- romance is definitely in the air tonight!"
