sorry for the typo. Topic should read "Tanker fire on freeway melts part of it away!"

OzMan 04-29-2007 11:22 AM

what the hell was it carrying, coca-cola?

mikewest 04-29-2007 11:25 AM

I'd imagine it was gasoline. Where did that happen? We lost a bridge on I-95 here in Connecticut a few years ago. Since our state's highways are fucked up to begin with that was a real disaster for traffic.

Star 69 04-29-2007 11:38 AM

holly shit!

baddog 04-29-2007 11:40 AM

funny thing about asphault

where was this?

Voodoo 04-29-2007 11:41 AM

Tanker is a pyro?

jennym 04-29-2007 11:43 AM

That's trippy.

On a sarcastic side note - You mean a high temperature fuel fire caused metal to melt and compromised the integrity of a structure enough for it to collapse??:Oh crap

Penthouse Tony 04-29-2007 11:52 AM

Happened in SF Bay Area right across the Bay Bridge on the Oakland side. Here is the link to the article

Get out!
Not possible. Explosive devices were secretly strapped to the columns prior to the accident.

I guess you have never seen a freeway being constructed. Not a whole lot of metal involved.

All I can say is that traffic is really going to suck there for a while.

I appreciate them waiting until after Thursday to have this happen.

Kevin Marx 04-29-2007 12:12 PM

how cool is that picture of the road though.. looks like pie dough just hanging over the side there.

Doesn't have to be a whole lot of metal. If the metal inside/around/supporting the concrete melts, then the structures integrity is compromised.

That is what I thought was so cool about it as well. It looks pliable.

Pardon me if I am wrong, but weren't you trying to compare a freeway collapsing from heat to the WTC collapsing from heat?

MissMina 04-29-2007 12:17 PM

That's strange...

No way!!
My husband just said he saw a man in a tinfoil hat putting thermite on that bridge. He left in a black helicopter that left a chemtrail shaped like donuts on a rope. And that truck didn't just burst into flames. It was hit by a missile fired from a mysterious white jet. :helpme

Michaelious 04-29-2007 12:31 PM

V_RocKs 04-29-2007 01:57 PM
