It just occurred to me, siting in the dark and listening to CNN, what the news must sound like to my seven year old...
You see, the United States has this war in a rock where they fight against a rocky soldiers. They're trying to help the rocky people somehow ... it has to do with giving them freedom. It takes a lot of guns to give them freedom because some of them really don't want it.
A Rock is in Bag Dad which is near the Persian gulf (probably something to do with cats)
... Ok well I made all this up, I asked my seven year old as he was going by and he doisn't think the Iraqis are made of rock nor is he very interested in the news... but still. How many kids think the US is fighting a war in a rock?
