Compaq sucks...
 

Recently had my second Compaq laptop that broke down on me. First one lasted about 3 years, so I got another, but this one lasted about a year and a half till it completely died. No more Compaqs for me. :disgust

Anyway... Compaq doesn't exist anymore so I'm pretty sure they won't mind the loss of your business...

IMO Compaq and Acr are the worst.

Just because they merged with HP doesn't mean they don't exist. HP is probably just as shoddy though...

Explain how it died? If it was just a power supply problem you know you can replace those. Next time don't try to use a $300 graphics card with the stock power supply that you get from your wal-mart computer. Unless your motherboard got fried everything else can be easily replaced.

yeah i want details.

i have a couple compaqs. one is like 10 years old, hehe, and the other only like 2 years.

the older one (not really 10 years, but close) has a 466 processor and runs windows xp, dreamweaver, photoshop cs, itunes, icq, yahoo, mirc, ie and firefox all at the same time.

the newer one has a 2.8 gig processor and barely runs windows xp, itunes and yahoo all at the same time.

none-the-less, both still work.
