Im gonna go ahead and say it but

I know I know.. he is not the most technical at all... but you know what.. he never messes up... ever... always on beat.. never messes up no matter what happends...

dave and neil are way more technial than chad.. but bottom line is chad smith never messes up

Chad is good, however there are many better in Jazz circuits.

yeah..... I am not to familier with the jazz rhealm of things... I like jazz just don;t get a chance to hear it enough...

I like Jimmy Chamberlain of the Smashing Pumpkins.

He is a great drummer. I like his drumming on "Cherub Rock." His style stands out because of his jazz background. He didn't know anything about rock drumming until he joined Smashing Pumpkins.

Waaayy overrated. Yes, he was a really cool and insane drummer. And he is often imitated. But he wasn't versatile at all. He played nothing but fills. He sounds great when you listen to The Who records. Although, if Keith Moon was in any other band his style probably wouldn't have worked. The Who was based on rhythm & blues, and it worked great for them.

That's not even up for debate. It amazes me that this isn't a worldwide fact known by all music lovers.
