What host to use for unlimited bandwidth?
 

Whats the best host to use for a little dinky gallery that I know is going to eat up alot of bandwidth..

It doesn't have to be the fastest in the world (but reasonable) but I need it to be unlimited uncapped bandwidth. Servage or dreamhost? Do they cap after so much punishment?

(I don't mind referral codes but dont just blindly post your shit, explain how it fits in with my request. I will be signing up with someone today.)

True, course not.. When I say unlimited I was being a little vague.

I expect when people say they'll give you unlimited they let you have a thousand gig then put your server on limited speeds to slow you down.. so yeah.

Try starting with a throughput (10 mbps max throttled for example). I use that and have never had a problem when TheHun points to one of my galleries. The rest of my sites will still be responsive and quick loading. That's usually my litmus test.

As others have said, it's hard to beat Dreamhost for disk space and bandwidth at their price (under $10/month). If you're only serving static galleries, it's perfect. Any sort of server-side scripting, though, will easily overload their server on a popular site. Stick with static HTML and you should be fine.
