CCBILL sales pattern, who can explain me this?
 

As we're dealing with an "over average" amount of CCBILL sales each day (we are affiliates)
we have enough data to see patterns in the sales and very too often we see "holes" in the sales.

They often look like this maybe 6 sales within an hour and then 3 hours with no sales and then 8 sales within an hour etc etc..

I've always found these holes kinda strange.. but EVERY SINGLE time I've made a test signup myself during these holes it works 100%

Some of the other webmasters I talk with tells me that it can be because CCBILL processes these sales in batches which can be delayed...

Anyways... here a screenshot from a hole we experienced just now :

What we're looking at here is 3 sales at 00:00 (my local time) and then not a single sale for 1½ hours and then 5 sales again at 01:30
This seems very strange to me - unless it's actually a delayed batch that is actually showing me the sales from those empty 1½ hours.

But...

How will you explain these subscription id's... they match the timestamps perfectly.. so, this is actually a real hole unless there's some logic to these id's I don't know about..
Whenever I did a test signup I got the id right away - so these numbers aren't attached to each sale later on..

(The below timestamps are CCBILL server hours)

The five 01:30 sales :

hour 16:11:15 - ID : 107117501000054366
hour 16:08:39 - ID : 107117501000053938

And the 3 0:00 sales :

Notice how the IDs jump around 5000 in this hole.. showing me that this is NOT delayed sales
So... after 1½ hour with no sales (traffic level the same as all day) there's 5 sales within 4 minutes...
And while writing this thread there's been a new half hour now with no sales at all..

What is the logic of this?

i have seen what you see.

never have seen a response from ccbill re: this anomoly.

my hypothesis is that the biller needs to keep aggregate chargeback ratios within a certain parameter and turns up or down the scrub factor like a rheostat to maintain compliance with banks.

I get the same thing with Verotel, 10 sales in 2 hours then nothing for 5 hours, and on and on. The only thing thats consistant is that it's inconsistant...:Oh crap

I can understand it if it was delayed batches.. but the gap is in the subscription IDs as well, that is what I don't get
