NFL Draft this weekend! Who's going #1?

From what I've been reading this week it looks like the #1 pick might not be who everyone thinks. If Oakland keeps the #1 pick then my prediction is....

Brady Quinn

Good, I hope they take him. Then I don't have to worry about the Browns making a huge mistake and drafting him. I want Adrian Peterson.

Oakland will pick JaMarcus Russell and it will set the franchise back another 3 years.

Quinn is by far the best QB in this draft.

lol, you guys are fucking crazy. Quinn is so weak compared to Russell... they better take Russell...

He will be like a Ryan Leaf. They guy couldn't win big games at Notre Dame. He is a good college QB because of the talent and coaching around him. Bring him to the level of the NFL and he is going to be BAD.

Anyone want to start an "office pool" on who'll be the first to be arrested?
(After the draft that is)

:)

Actually quite the opposite.
If Quinn had been the QB at LSU they would have won the national championship.
Quinn didn't have alot of talent around him last year, yet his TD to INT ratio was sickeningly good. That means he makes good decisions quickly.

NOBODY was talking about Russell before the Sugar Bowl.
Then all of a sudden because he had one good game, and a great combine, he's the consensus #1.

The last time that happened the guy's name was Akili Smith. Remember him? "John Elway's arm on Randall Cunningham's body" they said.

The things they're saying about Quinn right now are the same things they said about Peyton Manning and Dan Marino...couldn't win the big one, struggled against the toughest competition, and their senior years were a big disappointment compared to the expectations people had of them.

There are so many things about Quinn that make me think of Marino and Manning and so many things about Russel that make me think of Akili Smith and Ryan Leaf it's scary.
