Same problem
Hi. I'm pretty much in the same stage as you are...looking for a way to charge my future clients. Don't have a website yet, but I figured I might as well take care of the paperwork now. I was looking at adultmerchantpay.com, does anyone have any experience with them? Additional question, what can I expect in terms of paperwork when applying for an account? Thanks! Hope you let us know if you find a payment processor that works for you.

Forget all the rest, CCBill is the best. I don't work for CCBill, and I'm not related to CCBill in any way other than being a customer. CCBill may charge a little bit more than other processors, but you get what you pay for: quality service, reliability, great customer service (by e-mail and by phone), quick help when you need it.
And as new webmasters (KittyKait and Michelle69), you have to make sure you have a credit card processor that other people have or you won't be able to sign up any affiliates. You'll be shooting yourself in the foot if you don't get CCBill as your primary processor. Do some research: Do a search of random porn sites of all sizes and check their join pages. Every porn site that is worth its salt is running on CCBill. That should tell you something. When I joined CCBill about two years ago, I think it cost $750. Basically, I think it was free to get CCBill, but there was a $750 fee to be able to accept Visa cards. You might be able to sign up without being able to accept Visa, but that's a terrible idea. The $750 (or whatever it is now) you pay to get set up with CCBill and be able to accept Visa is worth every penny. As a backup processor, you should try Verotel, which is free, I think. Good luck. |
Yeah, ccbill is pretty popular.

I use Verotel..... They are very reliable....

I got in touch with CCBill, problem is, if you are outside the US & Europe, your own name will show up on every customers credit card bill... That was a clear no-go for me. Verotel is also very restrictive on countries (but very friendly still). I joined now member-cash.de - they have no problem where you are coming from and I heared some good things about them.
Anyhow, thanks for your help! |
How about epoch.com?
|
i VOTE FOR ccbILL
|
epoch.com doesnt deal with people outside US & EU...

What about Paypal, 2checkout, Visa?

MIchelle69,
What currencies do you plan to accept and is you Corporation domiciled in Moldavia? I don't understand why ccbill doesn't give you a descriptor other than that of your name to show up on cardholoder statements. That doesn't make any sense. As a startup, they are most likely going to aggregate your account anyway and will assign you a descriptor. Why it would be your name doesn't make any sense. Sportfuck69 |

This is not an IPSP policy. This is about card association rules. You must be domiciled in the region you intend to do business. Epoch offers processing to sponsored merchants in the United States and European Union regions. If you have any questions for us, drop me a line. |
Verotel will getcha up with minimal headaches.

ICQ me for a couple of leads.
