I don't mean to be a dick but this is what happens when you take an animal that belongs in the wild and force it to be some kind of a show piece. That guy probably beats the lion with a stick all the time.

Lesson ... don't try to tame nature's wild beast. Let them live in the wild where they belong.

in an ideal situation i would hope they would drug the lion, but he had his chompers on the guys neck at one point so tranquilizing it prob wouldnt have helped.

What the fuck do you expect to happen if a human enters a Lions Cage. I agree, shoot the fucking Lion, get the man out of there. These people on the other hand were probably using this Lion to make money, its turned on them and tried to kill the guy. Baffles me why people think they can completely team animals such as this.

I feel sorry for the guy that was mauled, but I think that the worst part was after they shot it a few times, they just let it lay there and moan as it died...

That's fucking sad. Should have put a bullet in the lion's brain and ended its suffering, at the very least.

That lion was about 200lbs as you can see by it's size and the way he was just tossed aside by the guy who went into the cage to move the lion's carcass away. He just picked it up and tossed it. Still a 200lb lion ain't no joke.

I'm wondering what took them so long to kill the lion? See, if everyone was responsibly armed the lion wouldn't have gotten as far as it did.

It's a shame to have been so irresponsible that they didn't put down the proper controls to protect the lion and the man but that happens when someone is asleep at the wheel.

Exactly! We take these wild animals out of the jungle and put them in cages, make them ride bicycles and teach them how to juggle and play the piano. Then we put our heads in their open mouths and take Polaroid pictures of it, and we complain when they try to eat us. Hello! They are wild animals; they're supposed to eat us.
