Forum populating software?
 

Starting a forum with vbulletin and need to make a lot of posts and replies with various nicknames... is there any software to make this easy or perhaps a feature already? I didn't find anything to do this.

Not that I know of. I do know a lot of people hire people to come in and populate with nicknames/posts. I wonder how it would work though, I mean, to get posts on the correct topic. What people post in a dog forum is completely different than say an adult webmaster, dating, or health forum http://www.iconwild.com/smilies/happ...smiley-034.gif

If there is a program around I would be interested in seeing how well it works.

sounds to me like you need a postbot.

I know a place you can hire people for pennies to post on your boards and get it going... It is another board though so I won't post a link..

vbulletin is good for getting spam, you know? Have fun dealing with it.. I can't find out how to stop it

omg what a crap ... :2 cents: offer good exclusive informations, make few fake nicks posting and people will come ... better than buy some postbots who can make forum just worst ... :2 cents:

Actually, it is pretty easy to combat. We have a huge mainstream forum and have no spam issues at all.

Just a couple plugins to prevent new users from adding links to threads, and things like coventry are great.


As far as these services that provide posts and users, be careful. We have tried a couple and one was a total waste while the other was just "okay."

forumelves doesn't do adult posting last I contacted them, not sure on the others. i haven't checked the others but i will. if you want to do me a favour there jon, hit me up on icq and let me know wher ei can hire those cheap forum whores at!

and as an offer to bigben, i've been doing what i can to post up my own new forum, if you're interested in swapping a few posts back and forth to eachother on one another's forums hit me up on the icq too...

Find a list of forums to spam and make sure your new one gets onto it. :thumbsup :1orglaugh

No, I need to make a lot of posts and replies with various nicknames and then import that into the forum db. I'll handwrite all the posts and replies, but don't want to have to logout, login, and repeat a hundred times. I was hoping that maybe some mod or software existed that would allow me to enter in the thread and replies on one page, and then import those and have it assign the posts to different usernames.
