Oh I'm not saying they shouldn't have it, just wondering how it will sell and what these kids REALLY think about it. For everyone to say "oh, they're 'slow', let's give them 'slow' dolls" is pretty naive and ignorant if the proper research hasn't been put in place. They could end up doing more harm than good...

If I had a kid with down syndrome, there's no way in fuck they'd be playing with one of these. I thought parents were supposed to teach those kids they are just like everyone else. Giving them these freak dolls is nuts. The neighbor girls all have their Barbie dolls, and these kids have dolls with their tongues hanging out and eyes crossed.

To some extent. Although I would never teach my kids that they are just like everyone else, no matter their health. Trying to be like everyone else is bad news, leads to too many depression problems... once you realize it's not bad to be different, your life changes very quickly.

But I agree, I don't think I'd get my kids these dolls.
