Guys, is there a cooler car chase movie that Smokey and The Bandit?
 

Cannonball Run was bad ass, but the first Smokey and The Bandit is just as cool as it gets.

love the classics but I'd have to say Ronin and The Transporter have two of the best car chase scenes I've seen

I always loved the clip with a Ferrari 275 GTB ? the car is driven by an anonymous driver at breakneck speed through the streets of Paris just after dawn, for a romantic "rendez-vous" at Basilica of the Sacré C?ur. check it out, u get to see Paris in a way u never seen it before.....

That was the first movie that I thought of when I read the thread. Smokey and the Bandit was pretty awesome, but the Blues Brothers made history.

Yeah you can't beat 1980s chase movies.

Bullet had a good one...In fact, that was the only good thing about that movie

Will have to catch up on oldschool car chase movies. Haven't seen the ones you mentioned. The 70's was a great era as far as movies were concerned.

Actually that movie used a Mercedes 450SEL with the sound of a Ferrari dubbed in, and it never went faster than 85mph.

I loved the Smokey and the Bandit series, all three of em were cute.

true, its one of the few where the driving really feels fast, and the lil crashes look very real

The original gone in 60 seconds is classic stuff, some of it filmed on the streets without permits and with the traffic being blocked, which is great.

Blues Brothers is pretty much the best, more destruction in less time than anything out there.

Modern movies may have tons of cgi and shit to make them look hot, but real true stunt man driven car chases are just the best.

The Mini Cooper chase in The Italian Job (both 1969 and 2003 versions) deserves honorable mention... :1orglaugh
