anyone shave their head???

What do you use?? Just a plain razor and shaving cream?

polish_aristocrat 04-26-2007 04:46 AM

someone would need to pay me $10k (or $50k today cause of special circumstances) for me to agree to completely shave off my head :)

Electric clippers with a #1 guard and then lather and shave. Go real slow around any moles or scars. Sucks to find those the hard way.

I can still grow a full luxurious head of hair, so no need to shave it yet...however, when that day comes that I start looking like Ben Franklin, it'll be time to break out the clippers and start shearing...

I would 0 blade, then shave. But the reason I buzz my head is simplification, so usually I just stop with the 0 blade, the shaving is too time consuming ;)

Used to use clippers 0, 1 or 2 but its getting kinda long now. I feel like David Hasselhof!

schneemann 04-26-2007 05:38 AM

I used to shave my head every night before my band played. Go with the 0 blade then jump in the shower, put on a liberal dose of shaving cream shave with ye olde Gillette.

unless a man is really balding and looks stupid with his hair - no man should shave his head bald - it's an aweful look IMO.

ask britney..............

Jim_Gunn 04-26-2007 08:22 AM

I use a Mach III razor and some shaving cream.

Kevin Marx 04-26-2007 08:33 AM

I go for a 3 stage... clippers, then razor.. then my wet/dry Panasonic... electrics always shave closer than a blade for me... only adds 2 or 3 minutes of touch up... gets it silky smooth.

Don't forget the aftershave to avoid razor burn. I use some stuff in a blue bottle that is basically 95% rubbing alcohol and 5% glycerin... expensive too.. they use it at salons... have changed to something called Pinaud... same effect, lot less expensive.. just tightens up the pores and helps you not to have ingrown hairs or irritation from the shaving.

Ladies love to rub their body parts across a smooth head... they find it very sexy

Clippers 0
Shave cream and a Mach 3 blade

I use a mirror as I do the front, and feel around on the back. Never miss. You will get the hang of it.

Not true. Many guys can pull this look off.

Yeah DWB, I got more compliments from women since I shaved my head than before. It also helps a lot of you have a moderately sized symmetrical head as opposed to an odd shaped, big or dented meathead, and you are tan and on the thinner side.

I use a weed eater. Works well for trimming my balls too.

CuriousToyBoy 04-26-2007 12:00 PM

Shaving gel and disposable razor.

;-)

Evil1 04-26-2007 01:04 PM

I'll do it for 9,500...taxes kicked my ass. ;)

But seriously? I haven't shaved my head since the mid 80s.

Closest to shaving now is keeping it tight on the sides & back...I can't handle it when my hair grows out there.

Back in the day I'd just use clippers to get it to point A and then use a few disposable razors to take it to skin afterwards.

only shave ur head if ur going bald..then its "trendy"
;)
