Favorite beach?

What is your favorite beach to visit or live at if you are lucky enough?

Personally I love taking my family down to Rocky Point and playing on the beaches there.

There are several beaches around Cozumel that are very nice to hang out on and drink on.

natas 04-25-2007 10:09 PM

Manly Beach, Sydney, Australia :thumbsup :thumbsup

maybe not the best beach in the world but it holds very special memories for me...

PenetratinP 04-25-2007 10:12 PM

I'm not much of a beach person but I like the one in Cancun behind the Omni hotel.....during spring break. :)

But for real, I'm here in Margarita Island in Venezuela with my girl for a vacation and the beaches here are amazing.

Thats very pretty. :) Anyone elese have beach pix they want to share?

TGVinny 04-25-2007 11:01 PM

I'll see if I can dig up a picture, I can't recall the name of the chain of islands, but the one I was on was Mustique, it's part of St. Vincents. It's not a place for nightlife, people, fine dining or anything. But it's quiet and peaceful, like a Corona Commercial! Probably not a family spot, but a good spot for a couple! "No One Around..."

There is a beach in the Dominican Republic that will remain unnamed here because it is my little slice of heaven. It is undeveloped (nothing around for miles) and I have to take a dirt bike to get there. When I do... words can do describe it's beauty.

I don't know about living there, but it is my favorite beach.

calibra 04-25-2007 11:16 PM

Yeah, congrats, it's paradise!

Bdiddy 04-25-2007 11:17 PM

If I lived even remotely close to a beach I would never be able to stay at work or even maintain a job for that matter. I think I'd end up a beach bum for sure. Its always 5 o'clock somehwhere.

LOL, that's why you can't get any good workers on Maui. If surf's up, forget about anyone coming to work.

Venice Beach in SoCal is good for all the craziness. Most relaxing beach must be one of the Greek Islands tho the pics in this thread look amazing.

BVF 04-26-2007 05:41 AM

I loved Waikiki Beach in Honolulu....

I also like Cabarete and Sosua Beach in Dominican Republic

best beach on earth

Owen22 04-26-2007 07:30 AM

I don't have the post count to link to my favorite beach.

Anyone else ever surf Shitpipe? It's a beach near LAX, with a sweage drain into it, about 1/2 off the coast. You used to be able to race your own turd to the waves. Actually has pretty good winter swells.

You can only go to the beach so much...I see the ocean every day now so after awhile it's not such a big deal...I also live up the road from the rainforest and even though I love it, one can only splash under the waterfalls so much..You gotta give it a break for awhile and then go back so that you can enjoy it.

Screaming 04-26-2007 04:53 PM

They are all the same to me really.. Its the towns around the beachs that change everything.

the town matters but there's different qualities of beaches, such as the sand, how rough or calm the surf is, available shade, etc...

For instance, there is a beach on the puerto rican off island of Culebra that is beautiful to LOOK AT but there is no available shade around and it's hot as fuck out there which makes the beach useless for my tastes..
