Best Way To Recruit New Affiliates
We are getting ready to re-launch our program and wanted some advice as the best way to recruit new affiliates? Pay per click...banner ads...give aways...or just plain old fashion print advertising?
|
It's Jay, right? I saw this thread and just pulled your card out from phoenix.
|
True True
Yes sir that's me...
|
Offer them support....
|
i come here and pick a fight with whoever is on the first page that day.
then i make friends with people in the thread and before they know it they are sending..lol just kidding get to know people and help them out with what they need like dont call RRRed sir ;) if you arn't asking for business 15 times a day....it aint enough |
If you don't know the answer. Why bother having a program :)
|
well sounds like some work is needed

For me I'd only need to talk to 3-4 people on my contact list of 400+ that would make about 98% of the income...
If those #s held true across the board, I'd try to grab as many batches of 400 contacts as possible from wherever...and treat them all like gold. Remember this, provide every affiliate with what they need as often as humanly possible...you NEVER know who the whales are until they show up and test your program out. I've personally witnessed 2-3 programs destroy a relationship (before it got started) with a guy that can send 50-100 joins a day when motivated -- and they had no idea who this guy could have been for them - woops. Service is everything. |

A good way to get attention and new affiliates:
Offer RSS feeds others can syndicate in their blogs. Many webmasters are looking for quality feeds with good pictures linked to galleries and alot of keyword rich text they can put in their blogs/rewrite. I still remember Nubiles being one of the first programs ever offering these feeds and it made them BIG...not just this, loads of quality content, but a broad variety of advertiser tools like RSS feeds, embedded videos, iframe content plugins make you stand out of the crowd. Don't only show love to TGP owners and submitters ! |

One word: work :)
Throwing money at advertising, contests etc. works only on one or two levels - the "???" part of the equation boils down to plain old fashioned work. You just gotta hustle. |
Start with some good reliable support and some good hosted content, then hit me up for a review.
|
The best way, long term, is to develop a great brand.
Hustler is a prime example. |
I just Car Bombed one affiliate that wasn't sending traffic and the rest fell in line ...:pimp
http://www.thevegabros.com/van4.jpg No really .. I like to run ads in Xbiz and I always buy a top banner spot on GFY for the month of the Launch or relaunch of the product. You don't get a shit load of affiliates directly from the banner but it is great for the branding and getting the word out. The affiliates follow ..:2 cents: |
Hire a good affilate manager
|
Sorry if I sounded harsh but there are too many shitty programs clogging up the internet.
|
u have just started...
|
I'd imagine offering $1000 PPS on $1 trials would get you some new affiliates.
Or a Bahamas cruise for every 5 sales. Otherwise, in my expereince, it's about working with people over the long term, and building trust. :2 cents: |
Thanks
Thanks to everyone that responded with good information. It seems everyone is using word press but I'm much more fluent in moveable type....any moveable type people here....
|
hire me....
thats what a bunch of people do |
