Cologroup is getting hooked up!
 

Just so you know, I have some good news.....

Cologroup is getting hooked up with about $5 Mil from a VC firm called Global Funding. I receive some of the money this week and I am going to hire some additional employees and make big improvements. If you have any suggestions on what you guys want from us...or just a hosting company in general, let me know here or by email, [email protected]

I posted this on here, because I think this is a pretty good deal, because it is not too often that money gets given to companies that are involved in the adult industry and there are a lot of things that could use improvement and money makes that possible. I am really excited about this, and it will be interesting to see what Cologroup comes up with over the next year.

Yes they would, they believe in the industry and Cologroup. That is why they put the money up.

Oh and congratulations with winning the trust of an investor, that is always a good sign.

Thanks, ControlThy and Mr. Thumbs....I have been involved with the VC industry for about 3 years and it took a long time to gain the respect of the investors and figure out how to go about getting some backing. Biggest thing is it proves that in these tough times, investors are willing to try something different.

C'mon Mr Thumbs you are being a lil hard on 'ol Jason. I think he was stating it simply and modestly. I would expect him to do something worthwile with it since he has already shown some initiative by creating a pretty decent hosting upstart.

Improved support via ticket system.
Improved support via live help.

Otherwise cologroup is great! But urgent issues must be dealt with urgently.

You are so right on. It takes more than a week to get a new account up. Getting webalizer and other small items takes at least 10 days. Cheap price though. I guess you get what you pay for.

I just did a GFY search and there's a lot of complaints about billing probs and downtimes....

they are ok, id be saying nicer things if they had replied to my support ticket by now..

So what does that mean for us? lower prices? better service? if you are using vc money to improve service, it'd make me wonder.

Ditto on the support issues. I have a 6 day old ticket that has never been responded to and two e-mails that have gone unanswered in regards to the support tickets.

One of the reasons I chose cologroup was the announcement 3-4 months ago by Jason about their new control panel. This never happened for whatever reason. However, IF the control panel were in place, I could handle my own support needs on these two items.

PS... Billing is always on time.

Yeah, I would say that if there is anything that Cologroup could improve on it would be the amount of time it take to fix problems.

But other than that....COLOGROUP ROCKS!!!
