Man charged with DUI on way to DUI court hearing

HARRISBURG -- A man charged with drunken driving on the way to a drunken driving hearing said he probably will have to quit drinking.

Yeah, I think you should quit drinking because you definitely can't afford the loss of anymore brain cells. :1orglaugh

Reminds me of a guy I know. He got a DUI, then two weeks later he got another one.

He went to trial and his lawyer arranged it so they would hear the second DUI case first. Somehow the prosecuting lawyer made the mistake of mentioning the first DUI while they were trying the second case, which is apparently not allowed since it would affect the judge's decision in the second case. Or something like that. Not sure exactly how he explained it. Anyway, long story short, he got both cases thrown out of court. Cost him about $10K in lawyer's fees, but I guess it was worth it.

I'm amazed at the stupidity of some people.

I recently had to go to traffic court and the 2 people in front of me were DUIs and both of them were multiple offenders. Why aren't they in jail? Luckily, when the judge got to me and saw I had no priors, she was pleasant and almost thankful that I wasn't there on a DUI charge. I think it helped get me an even further reduction, hehe.

Wow, can't get any more dumb than that.

Yep, I'm sure he can find a liquor store and a couple bars near his place. Fuck driving.

Wow, just wow.

Many years ago I went to a driving class. During the lunch split, two people hopped into a big blazer and went out drinking during lunch. They came back into the parking lot and took out two cars.

Stupid is what stupid does.

Not sure why that is funny to you. Somebody that drinks and drives in such a reckless manner should have their driving privileges removed forever. Many of us out there have had people we love left disabled or dead due to drunk drivers and to show such little responsibility sounds to me like a reason to take away his license.
