Its not often I remember the Mac Systems... Nothing against them.... Never actually used one... Where I live in the UK (When I'm Not Here In The USA) I dont think theres a mac supplier within 300 Miles ! Still Im Not there now, and I'm getting a 61" Widescreen installed in thee Appartment this week... ;-) So if I can get my "TV out" to work.... That WILL Be big ;-) 'ThatGuyDreamingOfA61InchMonitorInTheCorner' |

yo Gothweb,
Hi ! I Often read your posts on here, and they usually make sense to me. But in your reply to my comments, I cannot help but detect, That you seem to be... Well almost somewhat upon the defensive ??? .... But, thing is, I'm not quite sure what of ? If its about you using a Mac, (Which I Doubt) then as I said I was not slaggin off the Mac itself, because as I said, I have absolutely ZERO experience of them... Why ? because whilst I am in the UK I am simply NOT exposed to them at all. OK, whilst I can and will admit to the generalization that "Within 300 miles" is probably untrue, in the strictest sense of the definition... I still feel that In general, theres certainly NOT a mac dealer within an easy distance from where I am based when I am there. Its actually in Devon, for what its worth... In a word, If i need a part, a piece of software, or whatever, then its not so much a case of "want", as it is of "need" right away. I can get PC parts, bits etc, virtually anywhere but to have to wait, or travel 100 or so miles for a mac part that i needed would be unacceptable... Thats all I meant. Put bluntly, If I thought that Macs were shit, I would be the first to stand up and be counted as saying... "Mac Owners ? Buncha C*unts" etc, but then thats not my opinion. As I said I Dont Really Have Any Experience Of Macs Upon Which To Base My Judgment ;-) Which leads me back onto what i said about "defensive" once more... So is it the UK itself that your being defensive of ? If so, well OK whatever... But I can tell you for sure that theres nothing about our "Green Unpleasant Land" thats worth defending. Cumon Face It.. Its a right fuckin shithole ! RipOff Britain... Too Right. Give me USA anytime... Its a different standard of life here... One which we both love Oh so dearly, that it really hurts, when our visas are up (3 Months) and we have to leave. Yes... it hurts... Whats so great about the USA ? Everything, but especially this one thing. Americans feel proud of there country. Its the greatest country in the free world, they proclaim... GOD BLESS AMERICA... You hear it all the time... And to me thats the vibe. The land of the free ;-) Tell me, when have you ever heard someone saying, I'm British, and whats more, I'm PROUD to be British. ? The last time I heard anyone say that they were proud to be British... It was a skinhead talking, and his remarks werent meant in a patriotic, but In a racist way... If however, (As read back my above musings, before hitting ?Post?) Im Beginning to suspect. I'm Totally wrong on BOTH of the above accounts, and you were not being defensive at all... If you were merely pointing out to me the technicality error, im my use of the distance of 300 miles, Then please accept my apologies, in full, for my ramblings above. Also, please don?t even bother to read this post at all, as I am mistaken ;-) Actually, come to think of it accept my apologies anyway, even if I Havnt offended you... Just check it in your book for me against "Next Time"... I LURVVEE The USA !!!! Cue ?Jerry Springer Moment?? 'ThatTemporyExPatInTheCorner"... 61" TV UPDATE: CURRENT STATUS: STILL AWAITING DELIVERY OF THE 61' WIDESCREEN TELEVISION. ETA OF DELIVERY, MINUS 12 HOURS AND COUNTING...
