"I know he is a relative but..." - that implies it is bad to be your relative.

"...have to say that is work is really amazing." - how about his work is really amazing.

"His lighting, composition, depth of field, pov, focus points, etc are true art." - consider this: His combined use of lighting, composition, depth of field, point of view, and focus points create stunning images.

"he is located in the midwest, can travel anywhere or shoot locally." - he should be He. Let's turn his geographical status into a benefit: Based in the midwest, he is centrally located and can travel to any shoot location.

"If you are interested or want some samples, post here or hit me up." - We think this sounds better: If you are looking for a professional photographer, please contact me. Samples are available upon request.

"If I ever get an adult site built of my own, I would use him for my content hands down." - This implies you are considering your own solo site. If this is not true, a small change would be in order: If I had a site that needed custom or exclusive content, he would be my first and only choice of photographer.

Hey, here is the thing, I didn't even realize that you were a pr writing service until after the fact. I thought you were a legit person asking because many are looking for pr services.

I did not mean to hijack your thread and will be happy to get my posts removed through the GFY moderator.

sorry about that, and feel free to stop by any thread I post.

who knows, if this didn't happen perhaps we could have worked together on stuff.

Any good press release will include the company's contact information, and only that company's contact information. We would never include our own contact information as the client is paying us to promote them, not us.

This makes zero sense, it is easy to find crappy ones, it is the good ones that are difficult to find.

I run a press release service (www.pradult.com) where we not only write press releases, but allow people to submit them directly. We also have XBiz sending us releases that we use for filler on slow days.

I would bet that 75% of the releases that come in from XBiz are rejected for lack of content, with another 15% rejected because of no contact info on them. Of the remaining 10%, about half of them have the contact info of the person writing the release rather than the company being promoted.

It is pretty sad.

Feel free to leave the post. Your point that your post was on a message board and was not an actual press release is spot on; we were just having fun.

Would we both agree that the literary world would be a better place if all companies would use professional writing services for their press releases?

The adult industry has virtually no entry bar; anyone can do it. As a result, we can find ourselves reading press releases composed by individuals with very little writting skill or ability.

It warms our hearts to know that someone else gets it. Sadly, we find ourselves in a very small group.

I think you are describing the world in general. Basically everything out there is poorly written from a literary perspective in my opinion. How many billboards or flyers or newspaper articles have you seen that look like they have been written by a monkey; they are full of grammatical errors, spelling mistakes, and misused words. I don't think you can really categorize a press release as fitting into the "literary world" any more than peoples writing on gfy or another board. People these days are not interested in good writing or grammatical correctness; people want their information fast and concise.

I agree with this statement. You always have to consider your audience. For example, you would not write the same way for the GFY audience as you would for an English professor.

We will present a bad press release with our commentary. A category for good press releases has been created, yet it remains empty.

We feel that 47 words in one sentence is not desirable.
