If this domain were yours.....How much would you want for it?

I got 3 shitty offers, and one jackass remark, and a "it's worthless".
If this were yours, what would you think is an acceptable offer?
GAYPAY.NET

If I could get a few honest opinions, I would appreciate it. I just want to make sure that I'm not the idiot.
Thanks

400 bucks.. it's a 2 word .net

Steve Awesome 04-24-2007 08:42 PM

I've got a pretty good reason why it's worth nothing:

Honestly? $100

BlackCrayon 04-24-2007 09:11 PM

.net is not near nowhere near as much as other and if there is another program already called gaypay, you really have no chance of selling it for anything much.

Gregory Black 04-24-2007 09:24 PM

That's a seriously gay domain.

The days of Big Pay (or even Good Pay) for domains is quite simply - OVER.

Unless it's like a 1 word.com (what I would give for ass.com hehe) or a 1 word common derivative such as myAss.com: people have become computer literate enough to deal with my-ass.com or my-ass.net or maybe even .org

Yes, Some people DID make a LOT of money on domains. But that was the good old Ignorant days similar to when Register.com was selling domains for $108 on TV

EBORG9 04-24-2007 09:36 PM

No no no. I wasn't looking for a big Pay Day, I just thought it was worth more than $50.
I actually have it with a group, that are for sale.
Thanks for your opinions it's pretty much what I thought.

LiveDose 04-24-2007 09:44 PM

I don't personally have an opinion on most .net's. I tend to stay away from them.

bdld 04-24-2007 09:53 PM

somewhere less than 50, maybe 20.

woj 04-24-2007 10:08 PM

$100 tops probably...

I beg to differ...2 of my biggest sales ever (5-figures and high 4-figures) were a .tv and a .biz respectively.

I think it's a good name and should fetch a few hundred. The problem with 2-word .nets is that there's a lot of them available. Even though that's a great name, someone's gotta want it so bad that they wouldn't just register some 3-word .com instead.

Sign up for the program and redirect the traffic to your affilaite code :2 cents:

lol, you don't have a clue. As more domains are bought every day leaving virtually nothing but shit left domains are only going up in value.

If I was running that name out on an auction I would set a reserve of $300.

Although it's a short two worder with one usefull keyword in it the name doesn't really say much and about the only thing it brings to mind to me is - gay people getting some pay.

Nicky 04-25-2007 05:53 AM

$100 tops

jaromir 04-25-2007 06:35 AM

I don't like dot net domains personally.
Dot coms domain rock, but dot net, org and others top level domain have very little value.

Look at the sex dot com and sex dot org. Sex dot com generate bunch of money, sex dot org generate itself few bucks.

Personally i will pay for this gaypay dot net 20 bucks plus the revenue value.

Dotnets are generally not worth much.

While it's true to say that .com's have the biggest value it's important not to get too blinkered when looking for domain names to invest in. For instance - .info's can be good if you can match the domain name to popular searched for keyword combo's because so often surfers these days are more interested in getting information about certain products/services first rather than making an on the spot transaction.

I've seen many .org's, net's, info's ect return high market values in the last year or so and I would say that that trend is likely to continue even more so as decent .com's become scarcer.

g$$$ 04-25-2007 11:24 AM

.nets are hard to sell.....
