Do you shop on ebay?

I had never even looked at ebay until Bath & Body discontinued my favorite scent... now I am on there looking at everything.

Do you shop on ebay? Ever find a really great deal on something?
Tell me about it :)

LiveDose 04-24-2007 09:51 AM

I love Ebay. I have gotten so many kick ass deals off there. Everything is on there and you can get it at a better price then the stores, if you don't mind waiting a couple of days. Just bought some Kenneth Cole shoes for $60, retail is $125.

ADL Josh 04-24-2007 09:54 AM

all the time:thumbsup

candyflip 04-24-2007 09:54 AM

We buy just about everything on EBay. I think yesterday alone I spent almost $1000 lot of some video game stuff to stock a small webshop.

I've gotten some great deals on jeans too.

Fap 04-24-2007 09:59 AM

I stopped using ebay years ago but i'm starting up again

Star 69 04-24-2007 10:01 AM

I have never bought anything on E-bay

My wife and I have purchased quite a few items on Ebay. My wife has a purse fetish and I recently got some older version of some software I couldnt find on any site or retailer. All our transactions were smooth but I do hear there is alot of fraud as well.

k0nr4d 04-24-2007 10:02 AM

i sometimes buy versace/diesel stuff on there...
probably fake, but its surprisingly good quality if it is.

Andiz 04-24-2007 10:08 AM

I bought some stuff for my Ipod

phate321 04-24-2007 10:10 AM

Sosa 04-24-2007 10:19 AM

I used to do alot of sportscards and such on ebay but now it is a few items a month only

WiredGuy 04-24-2007 10:25 AM

I am surprised I've never bought anything or even browsed ebay. Considering how long they've been around, I've never even considered it. I have marketed them before though :)

You can catch a few good deals.

When I set up my TiVo, I purchased a USB to wireless adapter, and saved myself 50-65% of the retail price

jhauser 04-24-2007 10:29 AM

I go in spurts. I haven't been to ebay for a while.

Jim_Gunn 04-24-2007 11:05 AM

I have bought a lot of stuff through private individuals and online merchants on ebay and saved lot of money in the process, including even on camera equipment, computer hardware and also out of print strategy games that I collect.

hoob 04-24-2007 11:13 AM

I bought my Harley on ebay, but the seller was within driving distance and he didn't get a dime until I had inspected the bike.

shoeaholicanon 04-24-2007 11:15 AM

yep. bought Jaws 1 & 2 books.
Bought some jewlery...a pair of shoes....i think that's it.

fardoche27 04-24-2007 11:31 AM

I used to buy, but now I mostly sell on ebay.

I simply love it.

dirtysouth 04-24-2007 11:36 AM

Lots of clothes/shoes. Can't get the brands here and it's cheaper than driving to new orleans or atlanta. Only been burned once (fake prada shades).

evildick 04-24-2007 11:39 AM

I bought a personalized autograph from the Soup Nazi on ebay. :1orglaugh I think the guy is making a fortune off of those.

Vegas Ken 04-24-2007 12:18 PM

I have gotten some really killer deals on ebay!

pornguy 04-24-2007 12:19 PM

I have bought a few things. You can save an ass load, and find things there, that you can not find anyplace else.

profiteer 04-24-2007 12:19 PM

yes, I try not to look anymore....it's Addictive!!!

Trixie 04-24-2007 12:40 PM

I'm not addicted, but I like it.

I get small (size 4 1/2 and 5) vintage and antique shoes for shoots, monitors, light sets for shoots, etc. there. I have my eyes on auctions for a certain Nikon camera they don't make anymore and I want to get a couple backups -- ebay is great for that stuff.

tenderobject 04-24-2007 01:01 PM

i only buy records there ekkk

Ravage 04-24-2007 01:04 PM

I have, but rarely. I usually buy off of eBay for gifts.

Monique Niccole 04-24-2007 01:10 PM

I've bought cell phones, some vintage clothes, and shoes on ebay. I've actually been consciously trying NOT to buy anything lately. I blow way too much cash on stuff there.

A friend of mine sells art prints on ebay. I got a signed Yamoshita print numbered 71/100 as a gift last year

TGVinny 04-24-2007 01:13 PM

I've bought and sold on ebay! I love it, you just have to be careful of some people trying to scam you! Also, if you lose a bid, some people try to send you an email saying that the winning bidder didn't pay or some shit so you have the opportunity to purchase it outside of ebay. I'm sure you're smarter than that, but it's just a warning. Some of the emails you get look like emails from ebay, but is not, if it is from ebay you'll get an Identical on in your ebay inbox! Anyways, happy shopping!

GoNe 04-24-2007 02:22 PM

I love ebay. You can find everything and anything over at ebay and almost always to great prices. Keep in mind that you could be hit with some big customs fee's. I recently bought a new SONY HD camcorder from a japanese ebay store and I got hit with $400 in customs fees. :-(

Also a little heads up. Ebay can be very addictive. For a while I was browsing ebay for like 2 - 3 hours everyday because I just found so much new cool stuff everyday :helpme .

notabook 04-24-2007 02:39 PM

I buy about half of what I buy off of eBay. Most of what I buy isn’t “time sensitive” either, that is, I don’t need it RIGHT then. I use a sniping program (Last Minute Bidder) and put in my absolute highest I want to bid in the program and never look back at the auction page. The program will bid at the last 5-10 seconds of the auction with whatever you put in your max price at. Sometimes I win, sometimes I don’t… but whatever the outcome I never put in any more money so I don’t end up wasting any. It’ll usually take two or three auctions for me to win at my price but I almost always do, getting a tremendous deal.

shekinah 04-24-2007 02:43 PM

I only check the site..:)

Scott McD 04-24-2007 02:45 PM

Used to use it alot, but don't use it half as much now. Far too many timewasters on it now... :disgust

starpimps 04-24-2007 02:46 PM
