What's the best place to get a custom script?
 

I need a custom affiliate program script, with a lot of features. I'm not sure what language it should be programmed in, or where to start looking for programmers.

Do all the major affiliate programs get their stuff coded in house, or are there any people/companies who I can subcontract and who will do a good job?

Lots of places will enable you to use their scripts, outsource. As for the programming language of choice: C. C usually runs the best and smoothest for heavy sites.

Build the core in C....for counting/stats have the backoffice and
front-end in php....for flexability and ease of use.

I do most of my work in perl but for something like this I would agree with DynaSpain.
