Went to this event on Fri and it rocked!!!! More and more people are getting into Kick Boxing and Muay Thai....when i was younger it was all about karate or tae kwon do and these days its more about kick boxing or muay thai....love this shit! I am going to join again but mostly for the workout.... i have to remember i am not 22 anymore ;-)

i have been boxing/kickboxing for the last 6 months or so... mostly for the exercise. love it. doubt i would ever fight although i briefly entertained the idea after going to a few fights. i realized in the end, that i won't ever want it as bad as the other guy. killer workouts though

calibra 04-22-2007 11:22 PM

That's real tough. Too tough.

Do i get a discount if I do ?

Been doing boxing but I need my legs to work a bit more so I will be doing some mui thai / kick boxing this summer.

Fight wise I will only do boxing though.... bigger payouts, less pain in the legs :)

Thai fights are really violent... can be really hard to watch for an outsider.

I train Muay Thai about 3 or 4 times a week. Too bad my next fight won't allow elbows, standing or on the ground.

Muay Thai has made a resurrgence in due part to MMA.

That, and it's the most practical of the stand-up arts.
Clinch, knees and Elbows, or Horse stance and 3 level punch? :error

I love watching white dudes go to Thailand to fight and get has ass kicked by some skinny Thai dude. Good fights for sure.

Lumpini Stadium is one of the best places to go for fights in Bangkok.

LittleSassy 04-23-2007 07:51 PM

looks really tough, i've taken a few lessons on muay thai but kickboxing / mixed martial arts got me interested.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one of the current title holders in Thailand is a Farang. A dutch guy.

Enema 04-24-2007 10:04 AM
