WTF, how long have they been in business? at least 5 years... and they just finally realize that porn is all people want on the internet.

GOOD

TarPy 08-18-2002 02:13 PM

I love how they talk about whether it would be able to slip it in "discreetly" c'mon the accomplishment of the year is Sex And The City... Soccer Moms watching softcore porn with kinky fetishes, now that's discreet.

Now is the time to pick up some Real stock. They have been having troubles lately and the future was not looking too good, especially with Windows Media picking up even more steam with Corona on the horizon.

We all know that the fastest way for a net media concern to profit is to sell porn. Why they tried to act like they didn't respect this fact is a mystery to me! Windows won't make this switch for a while since they have a little more conservative shareholders.

I only hope Real has a webmaster program since this is going to make it waaaay too easy for them to take food out of our mouths.

Matt 26z 08-18-2002 02:20 PM

Large internet-related mainstream companies getting involved in porn is a bad thing for everyone here.

Our consumer target is that not so internet savy guy. The same guy who will be exposed to Real now. Who do you think he's going to buy from? Small, unprofessional looking movie posts that take him to movie sites, or Real?

It doesn't even matter of Real's end product sucks. Their promotional machine will take at least some of our business away.

quiet 08-18-2002 02:23 PM

too funny. when all else fails, sell porn.

ztik 08-18-2002 02:45 PM

Agreed... surfers want exclusive original shit, not "airbrushed, fake, untainable" girls :thumbsup

WAY TO GO REAL!

Pornwolf 08-18-2002 04:18 PM

I wish that were true but by and large if it is easy to access and from a brand name (Real) people will be siphoned off from our services by the truckload.

I personally like to get my hamburgers from a place called Jackson Hole here in NY. Great burgers, big well made patties with big steak fries. Unfortunately, I go to McDonalds more often because they are just so damn convenient.

The same thing will apply here. People will get sucked in by the convenience factor. The hard core porn surfers will still be here but the masses, those people we want and need, will take the easiest most familiar route to bust a nut!

If WIndows Media ever offers this service as well we can kiss half of our traffic goodbye.

The Machine 08-18-2002 04:25 PM

funny - but indeed, they will hardly offer any niche content, which is what sells anyway.

Libertine 08-18-2002 04:30 PM

Chances are they'll make a deal with some large adult video producer. That would mean they could be able to cover quite a few niches.
I personally think if this will happen, we can kiss at least 20% traffic goodbye (and even more sales - real would most likely get our precious newbies).

The Machine 08-18-2002 04:36 PM

another thing is the surfer wants downloadable videos, not streaming - 80% of surfers, especially aol newbies, are on dial-up.

Amen brother, streaming is nice, but ask anyone what they prefer, and they'll say download. Usually cause they want to share with there friends. LOL but if you got a good product, that just means there friends will join also

true. and also would you want to have to download a movie on dial-up every time you want to view it? hell no.

Plus streaming at 56k sucks ass. When i was on dial up i would rather spend extra time downloading a better quality video.

Gary 08-18-2002 04:48 PM

Plus, lets not forget, real player sucks ass. All this will do is get newbd interested in finding better quality porn on a platform that doesnt hog system resources and crash their computers every 8 minutes

hehe - so true.

The Machine 08-18-2002 04:58 PM

there's nothing better for our purposes than the good old MPEG-1.

Kimmykim 08-18-2002 06:53 PM

Real does suck. I'm sure by this time next year they will be suing MS for unfair trade on the WinMedia player lol...

kevinl 08-18-2002 11:54 PM

Sounds like a lot ofr wishfulthinking.Once an established mainstream company gets into porn and doens't get hassled the others will pour in.As greedy as Aol is you don't think all those horny sufers they have they wont figure away to sell them porn. Sounds like we need to call real's investor relations department and tell them we are stockholders and we plan to protest at the next shareholders meeting.
