Do you know how to properly send an email to muliple recipients?

Well do you?

Most people don't. I get emails all the time from different people, all loaded with dozens and sometimes hundreds of email addresses showing. I'm sure those people don't want their email addies broadcasted to thousands of strangers, yet there they are ready for all manner of spam.

Just open your email client,
open the address book, click "New contact"
In the first name field type "Undisclosed"
In the last name field type "Recipient"
Then fill in your own email address into the email field, click "Okay".

Now open up a new email.
Clicke the "To" field and enter the Undlisclosed Recipient contact you created.
Then highlight all the people you want to send the email to using your Ctrl key,
then click "BCC--->" and "okay"
Type your email and send..... and everyone's email will be hidden from each other and thus protected.

YES, I realize this is a no-brainer to some of you eggheads, and rightly so it should be... but you know as well as I do there are a lot of people who just don't think about this or how important it is. Hopefully a few of you use this method in future.

I don't know if it works on any other email clients, but in Outlook and Outlook Express it works perfectly.

So stop broadcasting everyone's email!

:D

I just wish people would realize that most of the things they forward have already been seen by anyone who spends a little time online:upsidedow

MS Word has a great mail merge program that you could use for sending individualized emails too.

Tools -- > Letters and Mailings --> Mail Merge -- > E-mail Messages

You mean you don't like it when your email is listed with 75 other people in a mass group email?

This is one of those tips that everyone should pay attention to. :thumbsup

I get tons of emails where all the recipients are displayed and waiting to be harvested.

I hear ya! My aunt is notorious for sending mega spam messages to everyone in the family...I get on average 5 a day from her. I want to tell her to stop, I just don't have the heart!

thanks for the tip, even though I don't think I have ever had to send an email to more than one person at a time.
