PSP and downloaded games?

Does that shit actually work? I've recently purchased 4GB memory card for my psp and was wondering whether I can download some games from net and make em work on my psp? Just copy em to the card? (btw. there's a piece of software from sony called Media Manager...Im thinking of buying it, dunno whether it's worth or not)

Anybody got some experiences with PSP and downloaded games from net?
Did you make them work on your sexy toy?

You have to be running the proper firmware for it to work. Make sure you don't update to the latest firmware from Sony or you will be fucked.

It's just a matter of downloading the proper hacked firmware and going through the steps to set it up. I will see if I can find you a link.

Thank you evildick!

I already updated it to the latest version :( I'd really like to find some ways to make that stuff work.

If you are past v3.03 then I think you are out of luck. I'm sure they will hack the new stuff, but you will probably be waiting a while for that.

There is also a modchip you can use, but I am not familiar with them and there is a possibility you can have an incompatible motherboard. This site will tell you how to check if it will work with your motherboard.

Doesn't sound like they are that easy to install though.

I would personally wait for the next firmware hack.

isn't this the hack for 3.30 firmware which I have right now:

"To install 3.30 OE-A’ Update:"

From the link you gave me....it's posted on 20th.

Basically, you want to downgrade to 1.50 whenever you can.
