Very strange stats from mailing paysite surfers.

Friday late afternoon we did a mail out from our expired members and our email catcher. It's a mid monthly thing and up until now I assumed it was all our traffic that was signing up. Only looked at the sign ups ratios and never the affiliates over the weekend.

This weekend I did and shocked.

Affiliates ratios have improved along with ours at the same rate. The extra high quality traffic we are getting seems to have affiliates cookies embedded. So looked at last months figures for the same period and it's the same story.

Higher sign ups, improved ratios, 100% better, and it carries through to affiliates.

With all the flaming I hear about mail catchers, it seems affiliates are benefiting as much as we are.

Just strange.

And yes we all know I'm clueless, but don't let it stop you telling me about the magic join links on www.5dollarsporn.com

So it's only tracked if the cookie is in place, and not who initially sent that customer?

I guess it was the guy who sent him last and as most of the sign ups are rejoins it seems the affiliates are getting a good deal.

Tracking is a tough one. If you track the first person to send it you might be hurting the last guy, if you pay the last guy, you hurt the first guy.

And if you please both of them how about the guy in between the first and last? :Oh crap

Think it through, we can only pay one guy. The guy who does the best preselling should be the one who gets the most sales. Which is why honest review sites do so well.

But with it all being even, this time A is the last, next time A will be the first. What you win on one you lose on the other.

Come up with a better system and make millions selling it.

In this example you talk about two affiliates, in your initial post in this thread you talk about one affiliate, and then YOU upselling them, not another affiliate.... unless I read it wrong.

hey, when mailing expired members, you offer your typical membership $29 a month membership for some thing rediculous like $5 - $9 and hope to get a rebil at the regular price?

Paul, normally when a program mails to expired clients, they send them to a special page where the affiliate code is reset or nulled for the program.

So your affiliates are benefiting from your work.
