Vista version

OK, I just lost my hard drive and about to install Vista. Which one should I install?
I see Home, I see Business N (what the hell is N?), I see Ultimate and Premium.

I don't know the difference. Anyone can help?

Thanks

The N stands for No media player...
We have ultimate editions... But don't really know the difference!
:)

If you're going to install Vista at least get the Home Premium. If you're only going with Home Basic you might as well still use XP.

I have two boxes sat here ... both Ultimate Editions ... getting new systems this coming week and will be installing Vista. It's been out long enough that I know the software I use works fine ... :)

Don't know what the differences are ... but I only paid $40 for each copy, since my friend works at Microsoft and I get all MS software for cheap.

STAY AWAY! Vista really blows. I'll trade you my vista home premium key for a Windows XP key any day, any time. The only way to make Vista even usable is to turn off the UAC......(coming to a sad realization - accept) And if I really wanted my PC to look like a Mac I would have bought a mac.

Ultimate is basically the Home Premium and Business together.

I'll save the Apple lovers some time. Buy a Mac.

I'll save the Linux lovers some time. Use Linux.

You're wrong. Vista does not blow. ... actually, I've used it plenty... just not on my new systems ...

Fact is ... it's a pretty good OS ... :) I like it :)

Really? You like being asked 2 times if you want to do something every single time you do it? Delete a jpg.... are you sure you want to delete this jpg? That's a good OS to you?

A) For idiot that might use your computer and delete shit that they have no clue what they are doing? Yeah might be good.

B) there are ways around that.

I assume you're calling me an idiot?

I don't really think it's called for ... someone's choice of OS is only supposed to cause arguments in school or on technology forums ...

Vista Sucks...

And so does the design of all Microsoft 2007 products. They have some cool new features... But the design is SHIT

No I'm not, so that could make you an idiot regardless. Try re-reading what I wrote. No wait let me explain again. Say you let some idiot( NOT you ) uses your computer. He/she may decide for whatever reason to start deleting shit. I'm sure you'll be glad for the extra protection then.
