Imus' producer McGuirk who's been with him since '87 on the show got the axe too.

Next thing you know Imus' chauffer and butler will get the axe.

My admittedly long-shot prediction:

CBS Radio reverses its decision and reinstates a "reinvented" Imus radio show without the racial and ethnic humor.
A short time later, a deal for a TV simulcast (perhaps on the YES Network) is announced.
