I heard a rumor that he was captured in Afganistan last month.

The Special Forces troops found him in one of the caves. He was somewhat incoherent, but was muttering something about, his wife and kids left him and his mother hates him, and he was a member of GFY.

The government decided that GFY might be new terrorist organization so he is being detained at Gitmo, with the rest of the detainees, and is being interrogated about what is GFY, who are the leaders and members, and what are their intentions.
