Wirecard - finally an alternative to epassporte??
Hey everyone!
Just stumbled upon this website through some banner advertising: Wirecard Does anyone know them? Could they finally be a real alternative to ePassporte? They seem to work exactly alike, just that they use a Virtual and Plastic Mastercard instead of Visa. Do they even accept adult related transactions? Anywayz, at least I think their site looks interesting, and as they are located in Europe (Germany) it also looks like you can fund your account through European bank accounts. Not too bad, I'd say! PS: If this is already OLD and I'm just far behind once again, don't slap me too hard please :1orglaugh |
I'm still holding to my Epass...

Bump... No one knows them?

Wirecard is the largest payment system in the online casino industry
I even think they are a public company on the german stock exchange... have to verify this though as i may be mixing with another one but im 90% sure... |
yeah im right :
Wirecard Bank AG is a bank headquartered in Germany. It is regulated by the German Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Wirecard Bank AG is furthermore a member of the credit card associations MasterCard, VISA, and JCB and is licensed to issue credit cards. Wirecard Bank AG is a subsidiary of Wirecard AG ? one of the worldwide leading providers of payment services and risk management solutions. Wirecard AG is listed in the TecDax of the German stock exchange in Frankfurt (ISIN DE0007472060, IGP). |

"Please note that the use of the Wirecard logo and the respective marketing materials on websites that contain adult, gambling or betting-related offers is strictly prohibited." So, they obviously don't like adult that much. Of course when they forbid to place their logo on porn sites this doesn't necessarily mean they don't allow adult related transactions at all, but the chance is pretty high :Oh crap What I also found out... They are the same company as "access4you.de" who did the billing for those shady Russian v*****z.info sites, if anyone remembers them. I bet their stockholders and the BaFin would like to know that :1orglaugh |
The German government has sent out letters to some adult webmasters threatening legal action against them. I would be very weary of running my adult cash through that country.

Germany is by FAR way more liberal then the US. Unless said webmasters were doing something WAY out of line, I doubt an adult webmaster will get in trouble in Germany. Just my 2 cents Sebs |
I don't think they like adult much. In the past they did lots of adult merchant accounts, but they stopped doing it a few years ago (Ibill also did some business through them in the past).

At least that's what I heard. |

It's just a prime example of how ignorant government is about the internet. Kind of funny actually...

Never hear about them. Checking right now. And what about www.ikobo.com

Has potential, but until adult companies actually start using them, it's kinda useless...

There is also the company all the russian affiliates use, Capital Collect.
They issue ATM cards and offer payment services like epass. They also have very tight security. I will however keep using epass since it is the industry standard and is very convenient to use. |

And sure, ePass is the industry standard, but convenient to use? The Virtual Visa gets declined almost everywhere for me, and I also heard more and more complains about the Electron card being rejected these days. Not to talk of all those security issues where money gets transferred to other epass accounts without knowledge of the account owner and all epass does about it is saying "oh, the money is already on the other account, we can't do anything". A refund, because their security obviously is from another century? Forget it! Not that I had such a problem myself so far, but reading so many threads at GFY from people who did experience this stuff really starts to harass me. |

My epass card has never been declined, and I use it a lot. The virtual one is a bit more problematic. If only Epass would hand out a device like RSA Securid http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SecurID then most of the problems with it would be history. All the banks I use already have such a device and it stops keyloggers right in their tracks. |
