Dollar at 26-yr low vs pound
LONDON (Reuters) - The dollar fell to a 26-year low against sterling and neared an all-time trough versus the euro on Wednesday as expectations of U.S. rate cuts contrasted with prospects for monetary tightening in other countries. http://investing.reuters.co.uk/news/...KETS-FOREX.xml :o/ |

Funny thing is, the dollar went up here again today.

Can't remember exactly but both GBP and the Euro are forecast to rise around 5% by the end of the year anyways - this is based just on "natural performance" and irrespective of the dollar, but thinking, unless the dollar increases at least 5%, it's not a pretty picture cos other Asian countries are also on an "upper". |
PS Not sure the UK Pound "really" qualifies for that ranking, but suppose it's what the market end up with. There is one very tight-fisted guy (Brown) in control of the finances there and it's doubtful that rating will drop.
