AVN is writing about Paymonde. Please Read and Contact them.

I woke today to find an email from the copy editor of AVN Online Magazine saying that they are writing a story about the Paymonde mess. As you see in the email she said not to hesitate forwarding this email to other webmasters that it pertains to, so here it is. Please email her (as well as Ken Knox) responding to this email as though she had sent it to your inbox. (if you haven't already gotten it).

Hi, Nick,

My name is Natalie Martin, and I?m the copy editor for AVN Online magazine. We?re doing an in-depth story about the Paymonde debacle, and I was wondering if you could shed some light on your experience with the now-defunct company. If possible, would you be able to give me a little background about your company, site, program (along with your title/position)? How often did you receive payments from Paymonde, and how much did you receive vs. what you are owed? What has communication with Howard and/or Norton been like since the announcement that Paymonde was shutting down? With the news that there are several webmasters who have not yet received payment, how do you feel about having received funds from Paymonde while others haven't? How confident are you that Paymonde will do "the right thing" and take care of their affiliates that are still owed money? Please feel free to expand on any of these questions. Also, I understand that the legal nature of this situation may encumber some aspects related to your experience, but any information you are able to supply is greatly appreciated. Writer Ken Knox will be doing the story, so feel free to CC him at [email protected] with your responses. Also, please feel free to call me at the number below if you have any questions or concerns. And don?t hesitate to forward this email to other webmasters you know who also may have lost money under Paymonde. Thanks so much, Nick, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely,

Natalie Martin

it wont get anyone their money but it will slur howard and norton's names a little more in the industry so that they cant so easily do the same thing or something similar to anyone again.

Ah... them!

Despise smartasses.... but kinda regret they never owed and not on the creditor list.

I *like* the justice system here and it would be more appropriate for instances like Paymonde. Basically means the company officers get pulled from bed at 6 am by armed/hooded law enforcement and all premises sealed and secured. When that's done... along comes a judge with an entourage and sets up a "temporary court" on the premises and dispenses initial "instant justice" and ensures all evidence is covered/secured for a full trial. Perps can be locked up pending trial or allowed to walk if they cooperate fully.

Pity that system does not apply in Canada :winkwink:

I wonder why no one has kicked their ass yet.

Never used them, but does anyone know how much their processing fee was? Were they charging 14-15% like CCbill and Paycom?

Ace_luffy 04-19-2007 05:03 AM

thanks for the info...:) :) :)

it was like 9.5% which is one of the reasons we went with them... and once you moved more volume you could negotiate lower.

as it turns out in reality their processing fee was 100% :Oh crap

i have emailed with Howard recently - according to him, and i believe him in that point, it has not helped that many people emailed their members do to a chargeback. this made the situation much worse.

and i don't believe i will see my money either - too bad, i could really use it :disgust
