theplanet stole $150 for me - beware

    edit- from*

    yup

They pretty much stole $150 from me because I refused to validate my order over the phone.

after I found out they wanted that I told them to cancel order and refund the $, but nope, they didn't even bother returning my emails about it.

this happened a week ago so I know its not a preauth or anything...

rather sad. anyone else have problems with the planet ?

So you're complaining about losing $150 because you wouldn't answer your phone?

no, I was traveling at the time I ordered it and had no phone. I needed to buy a server then and there and they could not provide that.

they do not respond to my emails about it...

So, do a chargeback for nondelivery of services.

I guess I will call them first thing Monday morning since that seems the best advice or way for me to get my money back, if that doesn't go well, chargeback will be the route I take.

Just be firm without being aggressive, point out that you've requested a refund (which your bank will ask you to do anyway) and that they're not complying with your request, therefore the only thing left to do is dispute the charge with your bank. Don't say CHARGEBACK because it's going to sound like you're a pro.

p.s. pending auth's can take up to 2 weeks to clear so it could just be an auth ..

Seems strange if they use the telephone to verify orders that they would put it through when they couldnt contact you, shouldnt they have done the opposite.
