Anyone answer a home network question
 
i have been having a helluva time getting more then 1 computer online
i have reset my cable modem, my router my hub rebooted computers, i have removed the router and ran off the hub i can only get 1 computer on at once.. no matter what i try... i am on a hardwired set up nothing wireless.. each computer can find its network addy seperatly and they always say limited connectivity unless 1 gets connected.. any help would b appreciated

check the wire connection then set the cble modem again then you try.....

if it's WIndows XP I think there's a wizard you can use to create the network

even with the wizard it took me fucking weeks to get it all right. I could see the PCs on the network but only untill the net reboot, there was a lot of Googling and I'm not even sure how I manage to get it right

you have to enable the guest accounts on the PCs too, have the same name workgroup and so on....pain in the ass

xp pro both computers... the both worked fine till the fuckin cable guy came out and brought me a new modem... now nothing works the way it did

all cables are new and connected properly

He is talking just being online period from what it looks like, not networking them together.

Find the reset button on your router, and set your settings to default, sounds like an ip config problem.
