Whats best for advertising in terms of attaracting vistors & conversions for adult websites?

Depends, if your site can be approved for Adwords it can be awesome. I'd stay away from overture and adbrite unless you know what you're doing.

Well, I'd say it's the right mixture, you have to look at the big picture. It's like parts of a machine that runs perfectly if you fit them together the right way.

For example, you can buy skimmed traffic to feed a tgp, when your tgp grows bigger and bigger you become more attractive for submitters. They'll group your recips with other high traffic tgps, so you'll get even more hits via the gallery recips. All those links with your keywords as anchor text are perfect SEO. Once you got some nice search engine traffic, you should be able to stop the bought skimmed traffic and only need to watch and balance your trades to keep the traffic at high level.

That's just one part of it, but you get the idea. Build a network of sites, different site types. Often used example: If you build galleries, 2 or 3 of them together are already almost a freesite, all you need is an entrance page and mainpage. 100 freesites will already enable you to build a link site where others can submit as well, the 200-300 galleries are a good addition to your tgp and the galleries and freesites are perfect content for a blog as well.

so much fraud and you will get a shit ton of crap traffic for alot of money

I am experimentiing with adbrite but its reach is kinda limited
