what do all the epass statuses mean?
Emailed epass with no response about it obviously, but looking at my online statement, what does "outstanding", "matched", "Billing amount out of range", and "dropped"..
Dropped isn't a dropped charge evidently, because i still seem to lose money on a "dropped". |
"Outstanding" is a pending charge, when it changes to "Dropped" the money is returned to your account, you can't see it on the online statement but you can see it on the monthly statement you can request.
Outstanding = is a pending authorization not yet settled. Matched = a settled authorization (parameters matched..amount, mcc...) Cleared = credit Dropped = authorization dropped Billing Amount Out of Range - a settlement for an authorization didn't match due to amount. No Matching Required - usually a credit from a merchant/atm or a reversal |
So how come my account I have all these "dropped" charges but no the money is never returned to the account? I could be mistaken though.
In fact, this one restaurant I keep goign to ends up with a dropped charge every single time. Am i basically eating there for free? heh |
