Angel Investors

Are there hubs to find investors for projects or do you generally have to network through known contacts? Are there sites where you can hook up with an investor?

Under $500,000: friends and family

Over $500,000: institutions

If you don't have your own contacts, I'd say you'd want to find yourself an incubator that's willing to pick you up, and let them garner the investors. :2 cents:

google angel money or angel investments, there are alot of outlets you can use to post business plans and look for (Angel) money

Google for it, theres usually regional networks of angel investors.

Isn't the risk pretty high that your idea will get stolen if you submit your business plan to just random places you found on google?

That's my concern. My idea is signed and sealed and stamped (dated) in a safe deposit box. However people can still steal ideas.
