FUCK! Fire in Beverly Hills With High Winds!!!

Yo! This shit is scary as fuck! Today in LA high winds and everyone
scared if a fire breaks out and sure enough in Beverly Hills the fire broke out and totally toasted a huge mansion and still fire burning. Hopefully the fire dept. will squash this.

I was out in Glendale earlier today - fugg'n wind was off the hook. I shoot in a couple of those houses up in Beverly Hills - hope they don't burn down :-(

jscott 04-12-2007 03:09 PM

should you find and link to a news article?

Martina Warren 04-12-2007 03:11 PM

We had a powercut here in Woodland Hills, the power just came back on. Apparantly 45,000 houses are without power in the SF valley

aimeesweet 04-12-2007 03:12 PM

My goodness the wind here is insane today... hope it dies down soon...

Was there a fire up there? I saw something on the news but it went by fast.

A brush fire today is fucking scary as shit. After that one last week or so we were lucky winds werent' this harsh or there'd have been a range fire like no tomorrow.

_Richard_ 04-12-2007 03:28 PM

hope that gets taken care of soon :( started early this year eh?

Beverly Hills?

Screw the fire dept - the insurance companies will be down there with buckets of water.

pornguy 04-12-2007 03:34 PM

Its a bit breezy here today, but nothing major. But I am sure we will get some tonight.

D_Unit 04-12-2007 03:39 PM

Yup. We've been watchin' the BH fire from the Flynt building all day. Looks like it's completely out now - though it's still smoldering as the helicopters are dumping water within the perimeter.

NichePay_Manny 04-12-2007 03:44 PM

its cool in beverly hills they can afford to re build it again. You can't breath in Burbank its so bad the air to day .

Jeez Derek! I had totally forgotten about you guys at Flynt. I need to update my account there.

Well the news says it ended up at 50 acres burned and several houses burned. Mostly their roofs as what I'm hearing.

Did you guys smell the smoke at the office? One of these days I'll have to send some toons in for submission.

Hollywood Horwitz 04-12-2007 04:33 PM

It's gonna worse traffic than normal, damn..

Hey Doc.

Nah, we didn't smell any smoke...but the choppers were buzzing over the building all day long. Looking over now, it looks to have stopped smoldering.

There was a HUGE palm that tipped over near my place in glendale and wiped out a million dollar home. Wonder if anyone was in the house at time. LA is out of controll. We just got over a 125 acre fire 3 weeks ago.
