Glo-Bill Processing - Good or Bad?

anyone use Glo Bill? im considering them for my next pay site...

comments?

gothweb 08-15-2002 06:14 PM

I haven't use them, but from what I have heard on similar threads here... They aren't "bad", but CCBill is better.

UnseenWorld 08-15-2002 06:18 PM

Actually, do a search, and you'll find GloBill is the one service you almost never hear anything seriously bad about.

GO GLOBILL!!!

Cogitator 08-15-2002 06:23 PM

That's true. You don't hear much bad about GloBill. They are a little less feature-rich than ccBill or Epoch, but pretty solid by all accounts.

Honeyslut 08-15-2002 06:46 PM

I use glo-bill ! They are very professional, speedy and reliable!
I have never had a problem nor have I had any chargebacks ! :)

Sly_RJ 08-15-2002 06:50 PM

You don't hear much bad about them. But you don't hear much good either. No news is good news?

I can safely predict you won't be disappointed.

Nismo,

Glo-bill is a very good company. However, you should look at all of your options. Give us a call to discuss your needs. I'm sure we can save you about 50% in processing fees.

Thank you, Mitch Farber

I love Glo-Bill tech support, they went above and beyond helping me get my signup scripts and protected areas in place and working correctly.

Hey Unseen, if you are still with them can you shoot me your site id so they can credit you that whopping referral money? Since I went straight there and signed up they said I could email them the info and they would credit the webmaster responsible for spreading the good word.

That's why I love them so much. No fees to get started. Play dumb and they'll do just about everything for you. And if they charge a point or two more than another service, it's worth it because nobody keeps a rein on chargebacks as well as they do.

You and anyone else who signs up from this thread can say you were referred by account #190878.

damn you guys are straight up spamming for them

I support GloBill any chance I get (just use the search function and you'll see what I mean). This is the first time anyone's asked for referral info, and so I gave it. I just believe in GloBill. Never ever had any kind of serious problem with them, and most of the "problems" I thought I had turned out to be on my end.

I would be careful.. I think they are the same company
formerly known as ' SyPro ' whom lost their merchant
account and closed up a few years back.

What makes me think this you may ask ?

The fact that they are still located in the same exact
city as SyPro was.. and just down the street from
the old SyPro offices.

They are in a small town, so.. I doubt its anyone else
other then them. I live 30 mins from their offices new
and or old.

I emailed asking them if they were SyPro.. they
never emailed back.

My suggestion, use another processor to be safe!

Now, that is a low blow...to mention that with such flimsy "proof." How good are they? They are one of the few companies that can still process AmEx without you needing to specially qualify, if they can even offer it at all (I think CCBill doesn't, for example).

At any rate, no matter what happened a few years ago, you'll find many of us here have been with them for several years now without incident.

Go and read some of the shit about the other processers (use the search function) and then compare it to what you find about GloBill. There will be NO CONTEST.

I have been using globill for one year now and preaching how great they are.

They set me up beautifully, help within hours, help users out, chargebacks are low

in fact they are so good i have stopped preaching about them, they do give site that use them a competitive edge, u agree unseen?

YDG 08-16-2002 11:40 AM

We use Globill, Ibill and Epoch. Globill without doubt are the most responsive whenever we have any issues, cant fault them:thumbsup

Most definitely! They are fantastic.

I have to correct a post here that borders on slander. For the record, J.R., and anyone else who might be taking rumor as fact, Glo-Bill has nothing whatsoever to do with any other billing company, let alone a company that has gone under or has had a tarnished image. I have no idea what "small town" Sypro was located in and would be very surprised if it was our own city of Walnut Creek, CA as I certainly would have heard about it. And even if such a company was located within "30 minutes of our location" that is hardly a guilt-by-geographic-association worth mentioning considering that our area (San Francisco bay area - Silicon Valley) is saturated with perhaps a hundred thousand high tech, software and dot-com companies. We also pride ourselves in answering email within 2 hours or less - an outstanding record that speaks for itself, which many of our clients have backed us up on right here on GFY. I therefore find it hard to believe that you would never have received a response on any email query you sent us. It is of course possible that an email could fall through the cracks and so I will give you the benefit of the doubt on that. But in any case, the answer to your query is an emphatic "No". By no means am I attempting to quash your right to free speech. You certainly have the right to bring up any allegations against anyone at anytime based on whatever logic that suits you. I am merely setting the record straight at this point.

For those that are interested in reading the full history of Glo-Bill, AVN Magazine has done an in-depth review of our company and will be running a full length article in their September issue. No rumors - just the facts!

Actually I think you're correct. they were Sypro. But no one's really looking for them anymore, are they?
