Aliens....

Nice.

Good to see the evidence backing our more solid theories up.

Considering that there are more Stars in the the _known_ universe than grains of sand on all the beaches on out entire planet... anyone who remains resolute to the idea that we're the only life out there just isn't applying the common sense that god gave him, imho.

I feel "life" the rule - not the exception... but even if that's not the case, there's no way there's not something else out there.

Musson 04-11-2007 11:13 AM

Well, if it is possible to find life outside the Solar system, the scientists should start working out the program of setting the other planets for the life when the Sun blows up.

It's probably never going to 'blow up'... just expand a bit, and then shrink into death as a dwarf.... it's not really large enough to go nova.

And that's not until like 5 billion years from now... so I'm thinking we're on schedule. :thumbsup

I thought we knew there was water on mars from a while back, moving under the surface of the north and south poles of mars?

LadyMischief 04-11-2007 11:51 AM

I'm more amazed that people are surprised about it than the fact they found it :P

you must have missed the "outside our Solar System" part :winkwink:

but yeah great news even though water vapour on a gaseous planet doesn't mean life, it's a step in the right direction..pity about the 150 light years away part :Oh crap
