Clear most adult webmasters dont know

If you have good SERP then you have monopol :)

All you are really doing when you hire an seo is having someone procure hard links for you. The on-page elements take minutes to do. Titles, URL's, keyword rich content text... done. If you have no text, then stuff the meta description with the keywords you want to rank for as this is what the SE's will index from without on page content.
I don't know of any good SEO's that cater to adult. Your best bet might be to post a project on any one of the many freelance boards as well as buy hardlinks here on GFY. |
Dan023 - although the last I heard he wasn't taking any new clients.
And Domain Names Broker if you think that all SEO consists of is getting links then your living in fairy land. |
good thread

ive done a lot of SEO for adult sites and one thing that really urks the shit out of me is when someone gets top rankings, then stops paying me, then the rankings drop because I stop doing work, then they bitch at me...
SEO is fairly easy to learn (basics) if you want to read. If you would rather not learn, then just fork over a few grand to someone to do it. |
seo is stupid and is a waste of fucking time

so do a google search for SEO and I am sure the best ones will be there.

You can do it yourself. Just read Matt Cutts, seobook, and Shoemoney. Should give you enough ideas to experiment and test.

One of our clients is about to find out the hard way that SEO is an ongoing exercise and not a one off event - but then he was the same guy who wondered why his site wasn't showing up in Google 2 days after it went live even after I had spent time explaining that it would take time. |
The initial work in SEO is very tedious and time consuming, but once you start seeing the results, anywhere from 2 weeks to 3 months later, it MUST be maintained, otherwise all the original hard work is for nothing.
Most companies think "oh, I'll cut that expense and save a few bucks" but the truth of the matter is, they wind up loosing alot more than "a few bucks" when their rankings fall, and then they are playing catch up trying to get back to where they once were... Anyway, while SEO is one part of a successful marketing plan, one must also consider complimenting it with such things as an affiliate program, as well as an aggressive Sponsored Search Marketing campaign. Hey Steve, Steve here as well. By no means do I think its only about getting links. There's ton's of variables, but this is only the 5 dollar discussion. The most important aspect of seo to me is domain name anyway... who would have thought. |

If it was competitive then he wouldn't still be there :) |

There was a time when I would have said that domain names didn't matter one little bit but not any more. These days, in certain circumstances, I believe that my research suggests that the domain name can do much more for a site than a whole truckload of links :) But then just one or two links can be far more effective than that truckload of links too. |
You got that right. I've been preaching it for a long time, it ALL starts with the domain name. If you spend $x,xxx on your domain that's $xx,xxx you don't have to spend on links, ads, etc
|
While domain names are like a piece of real estate you own ... you must also develop a passive link campaign .... If google sees that your site has a shit load of back-links from one day to the other... they might drop your domain from the SERPS... there are exceptions to this (news sites mostly)... but like someone already mentioned above... on page SEO is easy (metatags, H1, H2, H3.., proper html code with good CSS design if possible, content, alt descriptions, etc).. focusing on off page SEO is what really pays (places where your links are located, page-rank of the page where your link is located, etc). Anyhow.. pay close attention to your anchor text on links, try to get ABC links instead of reciprocals and check wordtracker.com for competitive keywords....
Want to know more?... ya'll have to pay me :pimp :thumbsup |

Remember this though: a SEO that knows his shit would never work for someone else - simply because you couldn't pay him enough. If he really is good at SEO (and not a poseur like Baddog or other retards) he will make 10x whatever you cant offer to pay him. His time is simply too valuable to work on someone else's projects, he'd rather work on his own stuff. I suggest you start reading about SEO and doing everything yourself, because all these SEO-For-Hire wankers will just milk you for you money without achieving any results. |

There is no easy answer for SEO.
Here are some keys to success #1 Your pages need content #2 Your pages must link thoughout your site with links of proper anchor text to those pages #3 Your pages need external links of quality linking to those paegs with proper anchor text to those pages #4 Your pages rank better the older they get, as long as their are easily seen in the search engine bots eyes #5 You have established decent link exposure for your site. google has a very nice system for analyzing your website to be spidered efficiently and basically gives you access to what it see's as far as anchor text and links and all that jazz.. I suggest you get on over there and check out the webmaster tools.. I think its google.com/webmasters then tools from there.... |
