Favorite flavor chip/crisp
 

I very rarely have chips/crisps these days but I had some earlier today and I continue to be amazed at the huge number of flavors. These were garlic prawn flavored and much nicer than I thought they would be. My mom still talks about the first time we went to Canada as a family and she had ketchup flavored chips.

When I first moved to the UK I saw some that said they were hedgehog flavored but I was too scared to find out if that was true or a joke and anyway I wouldn't know what a hedgehog tasted like to be sure.

What is your flavor of choice?

BBQ. I rarely eat chips though, maybe like a few times per year

Salt and Vinegar ! Looks like I spent too much time in the UK....

Prawn Cocktail or Salt and Vinegar.

The hedgehog crisps were based on what a hedgehog was meant to taste like, apparently they done all these tests with gypsy's who'd eaten them before - but the actual crisps were vegetarian.

Other interesting flavours I've only ever seen in the UK are;
Pizza
Roast Beef and English Mustard
Ham and Mustard
Lamb and Mint Sauce
Sausage and Onion
"Wuster" sauce

etc.

Plain old plain for me! I salivate everytime I see a tube of Pringles Originals and here in Australia we have abrand called 'Red Rock', by far the best chip/crisp I've ever eaten!

Pretty much the same here...I never ate huge amounts of the before I was watching fat grams, etc but now that I am I eat even less. Every now and then though I crave them.

I sort of figured it was a sort of gimmick but when I first moved here I didn't know enough to know what weird local customs were around :)

I like the lamb and mint ones too..my mom took some back to the States last time she was over.

They used to do something called "Rashers" I think they were called - Bacon and Heinz Tomato Sauce. They where damn good.

Hell yeah... I don't get them all the time but sometimes I just crave them. I also like Bugles because my Grandmother used to get them when I was younger.

I am pretty sure they sell something by that name at the shop across the street from me..in a pink bag? I never tried them but I am sure I have seen them.

I occasionally get a bugles craving but have never seen them in the UK.

i LOVE flamin' hot cheetos and black pepper jack doritos. haven't had either of them in FOREVER but bot are they good. :)

Cheese Doritos, CHeetos!, Sour 'Cream N Onion, various kinds of Pringles. I try to stay away from them these days but damn they are good.

Can't go wrong with some tortilla chips and good salsa either.

My sister was addicted to them for most of the time between her 11th and 12th birthday.

For me it doesn't get any better than the classic nacho cheese Doritos... Cheese Pringles are great too.

I have been addicted to blue corn tortilla chips lately. Boring, I know.

I used to snack on Kettle Salt & Pepper... YUMMO. Way to junky though.

Do people in America not have all these awesome flavours that we have???

I always thought we copied all our snack flavours from the US...

p.s. Marmite flavour are quite nice. The Lamb n Mint Sauce (walkers sensations) are also awesome....

I've been eating soy chips lately (nasty, but acceptable when the other choice is cardboard) and the S&V helps with the taste!

French Onion Sun Chips

The British are far more adventurous in crisp flavors. I agree the Lamb and Mint ones are yummy.

To my knowledge, only available in Europe.

I had some in Chicago last year that were interesting ..main flavour was lime but it worked.

Tostitos (sp) has a good lime flavored corn chip but the lime isn't spread evenly. You'll get maybe 1/10 of the bag with "good" lime flavors.

Yeah we get lime doritos over here and they were pretty good if you got one that wasn't just total salt.

When I first saw them I thought they would be gross but really it just is sort of like a light BBQ flavour.

don't eat them often but when I do I love the Cape Cod regular kettle cooked chips. those are great.

Kettle Chips are good for dipping purposes.
