I Need Good Offshore Hosting! ASAP
 

Dear GFYers,

I need a good offshore hosting company who is experienced in receiving frivolous complaints, and dealing with threatening letters from law firms which have no merit.

My Situation:

I run a popular messageboard in which users frequently trade links to all types of material. The material is never stored on my server, and I recently came into a situation where a hosting company canceled my services simply because of a letter they received from a law firm. Rather than investigate the claims, they simply discontinued my services.

Does anyone know a good host who fights from their customers?? And will not disconnect simply because they received a letter? Like I said, the material is
not stored on my servers.

I'm not interested in US based hosting.

I moved a popular message board from European hosting to American hosting a few weeks back. I think you'll find European hosts are far more trigger happy than US based hosts when they get complaints.

Any suggestions?

Contact the people who provide hosting for the guys registering domains with ESTDOMAINS. They know how to handle valid complaints.

I didn't ask for your opinion you asshole. I stated exactly what type of site I was running. And if you don't have any suggestions, then keep your mouth closed.

If you establish a good relationship with your hosting company, they will ask your opinion before shutting you down.

Unless the links on your forum don't point to illegal materials, you should be good to host anywhere.

Maybe it's a torrent trading forum? Then you will run into all sorts of troubled.

They have no merit? In that case ya got no problem :thumbsup

You don't necessarily need an offshore host - you just need a good adult host. There are lots here to choose from; Me, Techiemedia, NatNet, Phatservers, Oc3, SplitInfinity, Webair, etc etc

You should probably qualifty when you say 'unpopular' - what type of content and are you regularly a target of any DOS attacks?
