spamming is the art of cooking that delicious meat "spam" in a frying pan. It's not bad and quite tasty. :moon
|
Holy shit. That is quite possibly the ugliest site I have ever seen in my life. What version of frontpage built that big, steamy turd of a site?
|
Saraya... The thing under your name is an automatically generated title based on the number of posts you have made. Everyone with fewer than 1,000 hits has something stupid like that, don't worry. :)
The spamming people werer referring to in your thread is that it looked kinda like you weren't really posting for advice, but just to get attention for your site. Its good form to wait around a bit and get the feel for the place, and post in other peoples' threads, before starting one about your own stuff. Not that I listened to that advice when I got here, though, so don't worry too much. Good luck with your site. There are some great designers on here who might just give you some good advice. |

Let me put it this way;
I know a guy who used to make a lot of porn $$ with Spam, but it only lasted a few months, after that he never made a porn $$ again :( |

On the other thread that you made you were *spamming* a little when encouraging people here to go check out you sexy pics in your members area. Just a little tip for you here: the people around GFY are not going to spend money to look at your member's area...this is a webmaster board after all.

What version of frontpage built that steamy turd of a site??
well, first of all, I use frontpage express, and secondly, I built the site myself, and if you read my FIRST post, you'll know that I Had no choice to do it myself since my webmaster fucked me over :(( I knew nothing about building sites or html, before this, so I think its pretty good for my first attempt.. I guess whoever made that comment is either really cruel, or else trying to slam on other sites for his own stupidass reasons.. because Ive been ALL over the www., dude, and there are a MULTITUDE Of sites that are HUGE, and hard to navigate and UGLY.. much much more amateurly done than mine, thank you very much! To those who have welcomed me, THANK YOU! I appreciate your hospitality!! and no im not here to SPAM! Im here to TALK, ask for advice, etc .. PLEASE DONT LOOK AT MY SITE if this is what you are thinking of me. Ide rather you NOT go to my site if you are going to hurt my feelings with mean spirited comments :( GFY, Saraya |
Brutal honesty isn't necessarily mean spirited.

You did ask for comments after all. Brutal honesty = "constructive criticism":) |
Junk Mail = Spam
Flyers on your car = Spam TeleMarketers = Spam Junk Email = Spam Junk BBS Posts = Spam spam - Electronic junk mail or junk newsgroup postings. Some people define spam even more generally as any unsolicited e-mail. However, if a long-lost brother finds your e-mail address and sends you a message, this could hardly be called spam, even though it's unsolicited. Real spam is generally e-mail advertising for some product sent to a mailing list or newsgroup. In addition to wasting people's time with unwanted e-mail, spam also eats up a lot of network bandwidth. Consequently, there are many organizations, as well as individuals, who have taken it upon themselves to fight spam with a variety of techniques. But because the Internet is public, there is really little that can be done to prevent spam, just as it is impossible to prevent junk mail. However, some private online service, such America Online, have instituted policies to prevent spammers from spamming their subscribers. There is some debate about the source of the term, but the generally accepted version is that it comes from the Monty Python song, "Spam spam spam spam, spam spam spam spam, lovely spam, wonderful spam?" Like the song, spam is an endless repetition of worthless text. Another school of thought maintains that it comes from the computer group lab at the University of Southern California who gave it the name because it has many of the same characteristics as the lunchmeat Spam: - Nobody wants it or ever asks for it. - No one ever eats it; it is the first item to be pushed to the side when eating the entree. - Sometimes it is actually tasty, like 1% of junk mail that is really useful to some people. |
